Reverend Mr. R. Christoph Sandoval, Deacon


The Reverend Mister R. Christoph Sandoval is a Roman Catholic Deacon and the Coordinator and the Director of Training for the Saint Joseph Healing & Deliverance Ministry of the Archdiocese of San Francisco. He is a current member of the International Association of Deliverance and a member emeritus of the International Association of Exorcists.

Deacon Sandoval is a graduate of the Annual Exorcism and Prayer of Liberation Course at the Sacerdos Institute at the Pontifical Atheneum Regina Apostolorum University in Rome and the Pope Leo XIII Institute at Mundelein Seminary at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake. The latter is a two-year course of study for the Ministry of Healing and Deliverance under the approval and auspices of the United States Conference of Bishops.

In addition to his formal training he also had the unique opportunity interview, consult and collaborate with the first three Presidents of the International Association of Exorcists including Father Gabriele Amorth, Padre Cipriano de Meo and Father Francisco Bamonte the current president. He also had the extraordinary opportunity to dialogue with the world famous Carmelite Exorcist Father Vincenzo Taraborelli at the baroque monastery church of Santa Maria in Traspontina in Rome and Exorcist and former Rector of Gesu (the mother church of the Society of Jesus-the Jesuits) Fr. Daniele Libanori SJ now Auxiliary bishop for the Diocese of Rome.

Deacon Sandoval has also been trained by the Lay Centre at Foyer Unitas in Rome whose mission is dedicated to the formation of the laity and to the promotion of the lay vocation in the Church and in the world. Deacon Christoph Sandoval is a pioneer in breaking down the walls between Spiritual Care, Mental Care and Physical Care in addressing human suffering and is internationally acclaimed keynote speaker, master trainer and facilitator. On a personal note he is a parishioner of Saint Dominic’s Catholic Church in San Francisco and the uncle of the Prior Father Vincent Mary Kelber, OP.

+ As Clergy his pastoral ministry at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of San Francisco he facilitates the "From Darkness Into New Life" Grief and Bereavement Spiritual Support Group and offers Spiritual Care to People with Life Threatening Illness and their families in his “Strength for the Journey Ministry Support Group.” Both are open to all faith traditions.
